Peter Evers and his NEW 2019 Airstream Atlas

I looked at other RVs, some bigger, some smaller, then I saw the Atlas and as Goldilocks would say, 'It was just right.' I fell in love with it instantly.

Anyway - Why an Atlas?

Being 76, retired and a widower, I have a lot of free time.

All my life, travel has been about the destination. Now with my Atlas, it’s the journey with no real destination in mind.

The thought of an Atlas or something like it, had been percolating quietly in my mind for a number of years. When I was flying my airplane, I would look down and think how nice it would be to leisurely travel some of the countryside I was speeding past. I was reminded of the car trips my family had taken in the 1950s, the pre-Interstate Highway system era. Through small towns, eating at places named “Moms” or “Café” and stopping to see the “World’s Biggest Ball of String”.

I had looked at the Airstream Interstate but we just didn’t click. I looked at other RVs, some bigger, some smaller, then I saw the Atlas and as Goldilocks would say, “It was just right.” I fell in love with it instantly.

I’ve only driven it a couple hundred miles in the week that I’ve had it and I’m still learning about all the ‘bells and whistles’ but I know I’ve made the right choice for my Journeys.
